Midwest Snowscape
Before leaving the Midwest to return to West Texas, I was able to take the camera out and create another ambient nature film. I think this is my favorite one yet, and I hope you enjoy it as well. Click here (or on the image below) to watch it.
I’m back in West Texas now, at least until mid-April. I’ve been accepted into the Midland art show (Celebration of the Arts), which is in mid-May; however, I haven’t committed to it just yet. I’m trying to be more particular about the shows I do, with an ultimate goal of backing away from the show circuit in the not-too-distant future. I’d like to shift my income-making into something I can do more easily from the road (without having to haul a trailer with my booth display everywhere I go). Still, I love doing shows. I love chatting with people about art and sharing stories that reflect the importance of wild places. Sometimes I feel like it’s the best way for an ‘average Jane’ like me to promote not just my photography work, but the care and protection of our country’s wilderness areas.
This Wednesday marks 365 days of full-time life on the road. I’d thought I would create some meaningful piece to publish here or on YouTube, but I’ve got nothing so far. Maybe it will come. Right now, all I can offer is a humble nudge to anyone who feels even a little out of place in this world to dip your toe into the unknown, maybe take a small step, maybe a big leap, whatever you need to do in order to find or create your sense of meaning and place here. I support that journey wholeheartedly, and it is never. too. late. We are better people when we are whole. And free.
Until next time, be well friends.
