When I was a kid, I'd put a notebook and pencil in a backpack, hop on my bicycle and ride out to my favorite tree at the edge of town to sit and write for hours. Four decades later, I now put a tent, sleeping bag, food, water, and other necessities in a backpack and take very, very long walks into remote mountain wilderness to make photographs, write poems and essays, and record ambient nature films. My connection to wild places has only deepened over the years, and it gives me immense joy to share the peace and beauty of these places with others.
I've brought all of my nature work together under one tagline: From Wild Places. Below you will find links to my fine art photography, my writing, and my filmmaking projects.
