"The Ethereal Dance of Fog" and "Feather and Peal" - Two Ambient Nature Films

I’ve just realized that I have two ambient nature films on my second YouTube channel that I haven’t shared here, so I’ll remedy that in one post. By the way, if you haven’t yet subscribed to my ambient nature film channel, and would like to, I’d be grateful. It’s currently only sitting at 39 subscribers, and I can’t monetize until I hit 1,000. Monetizing isn’t why I created the channel, but it’d be nice to have two fully monetized channels capable of helping me pay my bills and create more films.

“The Ethereal Dance of Fog” was made in the midwest U.S. where I grew up and where my family still lives. If you’ve been a subscriber of this blog for very long, or if you know me well at all, you know that this is one of my favorite wild places on earth, and early morning fog over the loess hills soothes my weary soul.

“Feather and Peal” was made a few miles farther south at a wildlife refuge that’s a major stop for migratory birds. January is peak eagle season there, and while I missed the largest number of eagles (there were over 1,000 just a couple of weeks before I was there), I was still able to film a few bald eagles, trumpeter swans, and geese. This film is especially fun if you’ve never heard the screams and squawks that eagles make when defending their food/territory (pealing). Although I had some issues with my mic and had to revert to using audio from my action cam on this one (not ideal), I think it’s still worth a watch.

I hope you enjoy these two short ambient nature films.
