Still yourself against the noise
and chaos of the world...
and chaos of the world...
This, too, is courage. This, too, is bold...
When I was a kid, I'd put a notebook and pencil in a backpack, hop on a bicycle and ride out to my favorite tree at the edge of town to sit, observe, and write for hours. Almost five decades later, I'm still writing love letters to the natural world. It gives me great joy to share the peace and beauty of these places with others. I have three blogs where I write poetry, short essays about nature and humanity, and stories about the human-canine connection. Currently I'm also working on a photo memoir about my seven-year journey on The Colorado Trail with my dogs (read more about how you can support my book project on Patreon).
